Impressive Italian majolica vase, late 19th to early 20th century, decorated in the Renaissance istoriato style. The body is hand-painted with a detailed classical battle scene, featuring armored warriors in a richly colored landscape. Twin serpent-form handles, modeled in high relief with spotted decoration, rise dramatically from the shoulder to the rim. The pedestal foot is further adorned with complementary hand-painted motifs.

This piece reflects the majolica revival movement of the late 19th century, drawing inspiration from the celebrated workshops of Deruta and Faenza. Its large scale, bold figural painting, and elaborate handle design make it a striking example of Italian decorative ceramics from the period.
